Biography
Danene Taysom Fine Art
Danene Taysom is an American painter based in Idaho whose work is rooted in the Russian tradition and explores the poetry of color and the memory of light. She is known for her luminous color harmonies and Russian inspired impressionistic realism. Her work captures the emotional resonance of color and light – quiet atmosphere where memory, beauty, and feeling meet.
A graduate of Brigham Young University– Idaho with a degree in Interior Design. She began her career as a commercial interior designer. Before dedicating herself full-time to painting, she worked for the international architectural firm NBBJ, where her training in design, proportion and spatial harmony continues to influence her artistic practice.
She has studied for more than fifteen years under Russian painter Ovanes Berberian, whose knoweldge continues to shape her work in design, color and expressive painting.
She is committed to creating paintings of enduring beauty that invite contemplation and remain meaningful across generations.l
Through her atelier – Danene Taysom Atelier, School of Fine Art & Design – she mentors artists in foundational principles, color harmony, and artistic judgement as well as identity. She teaches drawing, painting, color harmony, and classical design principles grounded in the Russian atelier tradition.
